Bueng Khan (บึงกาฬ) is the best surprise of my trip so far! I did not expect to have such a good time here from riding along the Mekong to stunning views from the 3 Whales Rock (หินสามวาฬ) and the scary Phu Tok (ยอดภูทอก).

Great Day In Bueng Khan (บึงกาฬ)! I Woke up at 5AM to catch the sunrise at the 3 Whales Rock (หินสามวาฬ). On top of the Phu Sing Mountain (ภูสิงห์), you got 3 huge rocks that look like whales. The view from there is stunning. I missed the sunrise, but still, it was gorgeous! I continued to the Phu Tok Mountain. A mountain with wooden paths built on the mountainside. Totally breathtaking and adventurous. This will make an interesting vlog, I promise you! Bueng Khan, relatively unknown, has been a great surprise in my project!
As I started the day early, I got the time to ride south down to Nakhon Phanom (นครพนม)! I will spend 2 nights here before heading to the festival in Tat Phanom (ธาตุพนม)

สวัสดีบึงกาฬ! I made it to Bueng Khan today trying to follow the Mekong as much as possible. I stopped for grilled chicken in Pak Kat district (อำเภอปากคาด) for lunch before reaching the Northernmost point of Isaan (จุดเหนือที่สุดแดนอีสาน)! Another stop at Wat Ahong (วัดอาฮงศิลาวาส) where you can see a whirlpool in the Mekong during the rainy season, which means no whirlpool at the moment I arrived in time in Bueng Khan for the night market where I could eat หม่ำ sausages (mam), a beef sausage made of meat and liver! Tasty and salty! And I am doing a new vlog about all this
